Day 22 at the Kushi Institute

Today It was hard to be on my fast because for lunch they made hummus and for dinner it was fried fish with an amasake pie for dessert.  I did it I didn't crave it or really want it.  It looked very appealing but my stomach has been pretty good for the last few days so I definitely didn't want to jinx it.  The weather has been wonderful the last few days so I have gone on some wonderful hikes.  I believe that being up here in the woods is very therapeutic. I think I am going to plan some vacations up to the woods for a few days a year because I just feel good getting away from the city and being surrounded by trees.   I also like going to the beach and smelling the ocean air.  We all need to take some time off once in awhile and get away.  Fingure out which landscape fillsyour cup and rejuvenates your spirit and then plan on going there once or twice a year.  I think I am going to plan to go to the beach for July the fourth and then around the fall I am going to plan for us to go to a cabin in the woods for a few days that to me will be heaven.
Last night in one of the "Facial Diagnosis" classes we were give pictures of celebrities and we had to diagnose how their health was by what we could read in the picture.   You can tell if they eat a lot of sweets, how their digestion is doing, how their kidneys and liver by just observing different areas of the face. it was lots of fun and it is going to be hard being in the grocery line when I get back and not analyze the people in line in front of me.  I also learned how to diagnose different orgns by pressing different acupuncture points.  Some of them I already knew but I also learned new ones that I can't wait to get home and try.
